Bo’s Deadly Choice: exercising everyday
Bo de la Cruz grew up in Darwin and is a proud Gudjula & Erub woman.
She started playing touch rugby at the age of 12 and went on to represent the Northern Territory and Australia in the Touch Football U18 team.
Bo is the first Indigenous woman to represent Australia at senior level in touch rugby and has even won two World Championships. In a remarkable feat, she won 'Player of the Tournament' at her first World Championships.
In 2008, she switched codes and represented a victorious national team at the 2009 Rugby Sevens World Cup in Dubai.
As a Deadly Choices Ambassador and mother of three, she is dedicated to empowering young Indigenous people to strive for their goals, whether it be in sport, health, education or employment.
