Indigenous Senior Games

The Deadly Choices Indigenous Senior Games are a sporting competition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander seniors who are 50 years and older.

The concept was started by the Charleville and Western Areas Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Community Health Service in 1996.

Owing to its tremendous popularity and significant impact on the well-being of our elders, Deadly Choices has continued to roll out the Seniors Games right across Queensland over the past decade.

This program is driven by two primary objectives:

To ensure it provides a great outlet for our elders in community to participate in fun-filled activities, which is great for their overall physical health.

And even more importantly the Indigenous Seniors Games provides an environment of social inclusion which positively effects the mental and emotional welfare of participants, providing a safe and inclusive space for our elders and community members to connect.
