Good Quick Tukka

Good Quick Tukka

One of the fundamental principles of positive health relates to a person’s selection, preparation and consumption of wholesome, nutritious foods. The Deadly Choices Good Quick Tukka program adopts a holistic approach, designed to deter unhealthy eating practices presented in the form of takeaway, deep-fried and sugary foods and drinks. The program explores a healthy balance of the vital food groups, growing understanding of the role food plays in a person’s overall wellbeing, and providing participants the necessary tools to plan, prepare and cook meals that contribute to a lifelong healthy lifestyle. Healthy Lifestyle Program

Healthy Lifestyle Program

Building on the introductory frameworks of the junior program, subject areas focus on the complexities of living through teenage years into early adulthood. To encourage participant involvement and support them on their journey, facilitators encourage two-way and peer-to-peer collaboration, as a successful way of learning how to make Deadly Choices every day. Exclusive to the program is education and support surrounding interpersonal relationships (including sexual health) which are usually first encountered during this important life phase. Smoke Free Futures Program

Smoke Free Futures Program

Through building participant knowledge and understanding of tobacco and its harms, we can empower our Mob to make Deadly Choices. The program takes a strengths-based approach, encouraging participants to create smoke-free environments, support our Mob in making healthy lifestyle choices and promote a smoke-free future for all. Through exploring the harms of tobacco and vaping, individuals are able to develop their knowledge of relevant, evidence-based strategies they can implement to assist someone in their quit journey.
