Do I have to provide a 715 Health Check or have a Proof of Booking confirmation?
All Deadly Choices events require participants to have an up to date 715 Health Check. .
Please note: ‘Proof of Booking’ will no longer be accepted by the Deadly Choices team in lieu of a 715 Health Check confirmation form. So, all players must have completed a 715 Health Check within the 12 months prior to event day to compete.
No 715 Health Check = No Play
When will the draw be released?
The Deadly Choices Events Team will create the official draw for the Carnival. Team managers will be notified of draw release the week of the event.
When do registrations close?
Registrations will close Friday, 3 April 2026 or when the event reaches capacity.
Do I need to pay to play?
Open Men’s (Ages 16+ in 2026): $300 per team
Open Mixed (Ages 16+ in 2026): $300 per team
Teams must pay all fees in full before registrations close. To confirm your place, complete payment by the closing date. Teams that do not pay will not appear in the final draw.
Payment is due by Friday, 3 April 2026.
Can I register as an individual?
No individual registrations will be accepted, only team registrations.
Do parents/guardians need to be in attendance?
For players under 18, a parent or guardian needs to be in attendance at all times.
The venue has shaded areas for spectators to sit and enjoy the carnival.
What’s included in the kit?
Each participant will receive a playing shirt and shorts.
We recommend bringing an additional pair of shorts.
Participants are required to bring their own soft brimmed hats, water bottles, runners and other exercise clothes.
Can non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons participate?
All players must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and provide a 715 Health Check form.
Can I purchase food at the venue?
During the carnival, a food vendor will sell food and drinks that follow the Deadly Choices catering guidelines, including sugar-free drink options.
To support a safe and healthy environment, the carnival is a smoke, vape, alcohol, drug and sugar free event.
In addition, all participants will receive a lunch pass for one food item and one drink for the carnival, supplied by Deadly Choices.
How do I get to the Carnival? (transport/parking)
Parking is available but limited. For this reason, please allow enough time to park and walk to the courts. To reduce congestion, we encourage carpooling or using public transport where possible.
If you’re travelling by public transport plan your trip, check TransLink for the latest bus and train services in the area.
Where can I get a 715 Health Check?
You can get your 715 Health Check at your local Aboriginal Medical Service or GP. Please ensure they fill out our health check completion form (page 9 of registration document) with a stamp to submit as a part of your registration.
This is a smoke, vape, alcohol, drug and sugar free event.
