Deadly Choices and Newcastle Knights Launch Partnership
The Newcastle Knights and Deadly Choices are proud to announce a new partnership aimed at creating lasting and meaningful health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, throughout the Hunter and surrounding regions.
Bringing together two powerful community-focused brands, the partnership will leverage the reach, influence, and connection of the Newcastle Knights alongside Deadly Choices’ proven approach to health promotion, education, and engagement.
The partnership builds on a shared commitment to empowering communities, the partnership will focus on encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to take positive steps towards their health and wellbeing, while celebrating culture, community, and connection.
Through a range of community initiatives, events, player appearances and health-focused programs, the partnership aims to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to make healthy choices. This includes eating healthy, being physically active, not smoking or vaping and connect with their local Community Controlled Health Service for a 715 Health.
Group Chief Commercial Officer Jodie Cross said the partnership reflects the club’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond the football field.

Institute for Urban Indigenous Health CEO Wayne Ah Boo said partnerships are about reconciliation and working together.
“Deadly Choices is proud to partner with the Knights, as part of a shared commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people,” Ah Boo said.
“This partnership brings together the strength of one of the NRL’s leading clubs, with one of Australia’s most recognisable indigenous health promotion programs.
“Together, we can amplify important health messages, encourage healthier lifestyles and continue building stronger, healthier communities for future generations.”
The partnership will officially launch during the 2026 NRL season and will feature a range of activations designed to engage fans, families, and communities throughout the region.
By combining the influence of one of the region’s most recognised sporting organisations with one of Australia’s leading First Nations health promotion programs, the Newcastle Knights and Deadly Choices are committing to delivering genuine community impact and creating healthier futures together.
