Deadly Choices launches Youth Vaping campaign
Deadly Choices has re-activated it’s successful ‘Vapes are deathly, not deadly’ campaign in time for the Queensland Murri Carnival! The campaign will run from September to December across social media channels, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube , as well as TV.
‘Vapes are deathly, not deadly’ aims to target young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 14-26 living in Queensland, along with their support networks. It encourages them to make the Deadly Choice to quit vaping or never start in the first place by looking after their health and understanding vaping’s negative impacts.
Included in this campaign are three different scenarios which our young person is tempted to pick up vape. Ultimately, after seeing their reflection which demonstrates the harms of vaping they decide to put the vape down instead.
Simarily to last year’s initial run, the campaign will be promoted at Queensland Murri Carnival in September. This will include the Youth Vaping campaign messaging flyers and posters throughout the venue. While there will be billboards outside the Queensland Murri Carnival the venue as Community comes in.
The campaign will also be featured on digital outdoor billboards throughout Queensland, the backs of buses, shopping center signage and restrooms of selected venues.
Ultimately, young Community members will be directed to our vaping resources page to learn the benefits of quitting the vapes or never taking them up. There they will find support avenues, including their local Community Controlled Health Service.
