Taliqua’s Deadly Choice: Is to keep active

Taliqua is an Australian beach volleyballer and proud Wulli Wulli and Goreng Goreng woman from Kingaroy.

She has the distinction of being the first Indigenous beach volleyball player to represent Australia at the Olympics, competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics, before claiming silver at the Tokyo Games in 2020. Prior to that, Taliqua had already notched silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and bronze at the World Championships.

Taliqua now lives in Brisbane from where she more recently claimed another silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games while continuing to ply her trade towards another Olympic berth.
