Junior Murri Carnival 2024 (REGISTRATIONS CLOSED)

The Junior Murri Carnival is back! The 2024 Deadly Choices JMC will be held during the September school holidays at Albany Creek Crushers.

Date: Sunday, 22 September - Tuesday, 24 September 2024

Location: Albany Creek Crushers, 620 South Pine Road, Brendale

Divisions are U6s, U8s, U10s and U12s. 

PLAYER INFORMATION:

All participants must have a current 715 Health Check to participate, along with a solid rate of school attendance.

This is a smoke, alcohol and sugar free event.

Event Timings:

Sunday 22nd
9:00am U10s and U12s - First Round of Games Commence

Monday 23rd
9:00am U6s and U8s – NRL Clinics (Compulsory to attend)
9:00am U10s & U12s – QUT Educational Activity (Compulsory to attend)
11:00am - Games Commence for all age divisions (U6s, U8s, U10s, U12s)

Tuesday 24th
9:00am - Games Commence for all age divisions (U6s, U8s, U10s, U12s)

Do players need to have a 715 Health Check?

When will we receive the draw? The Official Draw for the DC Touch Carnival will be conducted by the Deadly Choices Events Team & Brisbane Metro Touch Association. Please note that teams will not receive the Draw until the week of the event. This allows for any last-minute changes, draw interruptions to be accounted for.

Are registrations closed?

Registrations are closed and have been closed for a number of months, if someone wishes to be on the waitlist they can contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Do I need to bring food?

Your child will be given a voucher to collect 1 food item i.e. sandwich or burger and a bottle of water. We encourage families to bring healthy food items or purchase items at the canteen as the event is sugar free.

What do the kids play in (what do I bring)?

We encourage participants to play in football boots, mouthguards and if required headgear. Participants will be given uniforms including socks to wear for the duration of the carnival. At times we’ve had participants not fit their shorts, so we encourage players to bring spare playing shorts. Please also bring a hat and water bottle.

Do parents/caregivers need to supervise their children throughout the day?

Yes, parents and caregivers are responsible for the supervision of their children throughout the duration of the carnival. Participants will be assigned to a coach, however coaches are not required to supervise your children when games aren’t on.
