Rhonda’s Deadly Choice: Staying fit and healthy

Rhonda’s family are the Quandamooka Ngugi and Noonucul people (Moreton and North Stradbroke Islands) and the Koa people (Winton). Rhonda also acknowledges the Wakka Wakka people of Cherbourg as her grandparents raised their family there.

She is a champion natural bodybuilder who has won gold and silver medals in the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA)/Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association (PNBA) Natural Olympia.

Rhonda started working out at the gym with the original goal of simply achieving better health for the mind, body, soul and weight loss in 2011. However she quickly developed a love for training, boxing and cardio workouts that spurred on her self-determination and drive into a higher level of training and serious competition. She continued her training and, combined with a healthy eating plan, lost 12kgs. She was feeling healthier and happier than she had in years with a new zest for life. In 2012 at age 42 Rhonda started competing at the INBA Queensland Titles. Over the last few years she has literally transformed herself and her life.

Rhonda is an inspiration to all of us to make Deadly Choices and stay active no matter what our age, “Our mob die young of chronic disease and it's preventable by leading an active and healthy lifestyle,” she says.

Favourite healthy meal: Fruit salad with yoghurt.
